Cyber Security Workshop for Scholars

The works of scholars are increasingly dependent on digital devices and multiple research platforms both on and offline. This is especially true for scholars who work with large quantities of data and confidential information spontaneously. However, like all other internet users, scholars do not have immunity to the malicious attacks in the real world and the digital space.

We are therefore offering a holistic security workshop for our members to learn how to better protect themselves, their research and their team. The content of the workshop includes the EU research backed basic skills of thread modeling – from physical, psychosocial to digital security; the knowhow on daily end-to-end encrypted communications, data encryption, safe browsing and contingency planning. Research assistants are welcomed to join too.
